::Senshal Hector LaBlanc can be seen dining at the prominent steak house in Manchester with a few well dressed business folk. After a while the meeting concludes the business folk leave and Hector makes his way over to the bar where he finishes up some last minute business on his black berry.::

,i feel like an insomniac
Today had been a very hectic day and this evening Michael and Julian had been off doing God knows what. Having some time for herself, she decided to have a few drinks and just relax. It seemed like there was never much of that in her life, so when she was able, she made the best of it. She was dressed in a black skirt suit this evening with black high heels. Her blonde hair was tied in a low ponytail and around her neck was the same necklace she was always seen wearing, which was a silver filigree pendant. Tugging the door open, she passed a few men on her way in, and she made her way to the bar. She didn't notice Hector as she took a seat at the bar alone. She placed her tiny purse she carried this evening on the bar counter top and she gave a small smile to the bartender. "Cosmo, please. Thanks." She said and she glanced around, but still didn't see Hector. Her phone vibrated in her purse which caught her attention and she opened it up, pulling out her iPhone and she looked through it to see who it was. After a few taps on the screen, she locked her screen again and she waited for her drink to be prepared.

::Hector stuggled with his black berry and finished whatever it was he was working on. He gave a low, annoyed grunt and shoved the phone into his pocket. He was about ready to leave when he saw one of the Invictus ghouls over at the other end of the bar and he moved over to her. He saw her with her phone and thought of his own. He took a seat next to her and spoke to her.::

"That's a nice black berry you have. It's a different model than mine."

::He says, clearly unaware of what the phone actually was and also seemingly bad at easing into a conversation.::

"Is it new?"

,i feel like an insomniac
The bartender set the bright pink drink down in front of her with a smile and she in turn smiled back. "Thank you." She repliedm and brushed her fingers around the smooth slender stem of the martini glass.

Plucking the drink up, she glanced to her side to see the Seneschal now standing beside her. That took her by surprise and she glanced around as if wondering how she missed him. Shaking the shocked, somewhat puzzled, expression from her features and she set her drink back down on the bar counter top. She gave him a respectful nod and greeted, "Mr. LaBlanc."

She then looked to her purse and a brow raised as she glanced at him and withdrew her iPhone that he seemed curious of. "It isn't a Blackberry, this one is an iPhone." She explained and she showed him the difference. The phone was locked with a password, but she lit the front up for him to see the sleek touch screen.

Once she displayed her phone for him, she set it back down and picked up her drink to take a small sip of it. She then inquired, "Would you like a drink, Mr. LaBlanc?" Of alcohol of course, not from her! That came out rather weird, especially asking a kindred, but she hoped he took it as she was offering to buy him something from the bar because that is what she meant. She knew vampires had a terrible tendency of trying to keep normal food and drink down, but at the same token, they could easy still drink it and maintain its control of staying inside their system. It was a beautiful way to blend in, or Hell, just holding the drink, but not actually drinking it worked too.

::Hector Looked at the two phones side by side and frowned some. Having mistaken all smart phones for black berries, to find out there were now multiple brands set him back some. When she offered him a drink he merely waved off the comment and kept looking at the phones.::

"You know, if you're good with this sort of stuff you can use it to get on samuel's good side. He always struggles with this sort of thing."

::Hector says and thinks back to all the embarrassing moments in court and other times where the prince is mewing like a lost kitten and demanding that Hector 'fix his phone'. Hector frowns more at the thought and puts his phone away.::

"I'm sure your used to helping clueless Ventrue with these things."

::He says in a low voice.::

Her first impression of Hector was that he would always be annoyed by her presence, but tonight he was showing a new side of him that she didn't think he would have towards her. Maybe he was in a good mood. She wasn't complaining and she appreciated his tip to getting on the Prince's good side. "Thank you, I will keep that in mind." She said.

Now, cell phones weren't exactly around in her time either, so when they came out, she too, had to learn how to use that type of technology. It was never a problem for her though, and she adapted to it with ease, and it was something she was good at. "Yes, often actually. Especially when they first became popular and affordable." She couldn't help but give a small smirk and a little chuckle at the thought. The martini glass was lifted again and she took another sip of it.

"So how are you this evening?" She asked.

::Hector looked around the bar and shrugged some.::

"Alright I suppose. I try to limit the amount of time I spend in Manchester, preferring the quiet of my place out in Auburn. I come in for business, court, whenever Samuel needs me for something... Feeding."

::He says the last part with his lips curling at their very edges into a sinister smile.::

"Problem is; getting from Manchester to Auburn means driving through a lot of woods. On the nights where Mr O'Leary is too busy to escort me back to my estate I have to find others willing to assist."

::He says and drums his fingers on the bar some.::

"Thanks to this flux of new folks coming to town, maybe I'll find a few who are willing to help out."

::He says and eyes over Scarlet again.::

Another sip of her drink was taken as she listened to him, and then delicately the glass was set back down. She licked the flavor from her lips and his wicked smile following the word 'feeding' caused her left brow to perk ever so slightly. Her fingers played on the stem of the glass and she nodded. "Ahh... Yes, the city can be pretty hectic, so I can see why you would enjoy somewhere more peaceful."

She watched him as he looked her over and she reached to lift her glass again, ignore what his eyes were doing. Another sip was taken and she then decided to ask, "So is this one of those nights?" Referring to Mr. O'Leary being too busy. "Perhaps you should employ a driver. Perhaps one of my kind if you are worried about trust? We are of course quite useful you know..."

::Hector shakes his head and looks out a large window towards the street.::

"Trust is not the issue, just physical prowless. These New Hampshire woods hide more dark and dangerous things than you'd think."

::He says lowly and turns back to Scarlet once more.::

"Your types are very useful indeed, however many folks think it wrong. Oh well, being a slave must have some perks or else you would have been done with this line of work years ago."

::Hector says with an air of eliteness that Scarlet had heard so many times from the Invictus.::

She glanced out the window when he did and simply lift her drink to finish its contents. Once it was finished she said, "I never doubted the woods weren't dangerous, especially getting more north towards the White Mountains. It is exceptionally dangerous in those parts for obvious reasons."

To answer his question regarding the 'slave' part, she replied after a brief pause, "There may be benefits, but I didn't know there was a retirement plan...Well at least not one willing available." She said with a slight raise of her brow, and tilted her head to the side ever so slightly. She gave a small shrug as if it didn't bother her. She pushed the empty martini glass towards the bartender and he asked if she would like another. She glanced at him and lifted a finger that she just wasn't quite sure yet. The bartender nodded and she looked back to Hector. "Did you need a ride this evening, Mr. LaBlanc? Could I be of assistance to you?"

::Hector smirked some and chuckled.::

"If you keep having drinks it'll be me getting you a ride home."

::He said and looked at his watch.::

"You're willingness to serve makes you very respectable madamn. Better than the rest of your types I've seen in town so far."

::Hector said with an other sorted complement.::

She couldn't help but mildly smirk at his comment about the drinks and she glanced at the empty martini glass. "Well, I stopped for that reason... But if you don't need anything from me, then I would be probably enjoying another." She replied with honesty. Ah, one of the perks still being partially human, thrall or not, life was still good enjoying the diminutive things like every day eating and drinking.

She took what compliments he gave her and she held onto them. It was the small things like that Invictus ghouls clung onto. She nodded her head to him, "Thank you, Mr. LaBlanc." She replied sincerely. She then glanced at his wrist as he looked at his watch. "So are you all set for this evening? Or was there something I could do for you?" She quietly asked again, since he didn't answer her question yet.

::Hector shook his head some and pulled out his wallet.::

"Unless you're interested in coming all the way out to Aubrun tonight, no."

::Hector said and laid out some money onto the bar. He had paid for her drink and got up to leave.::

She shrugged, not like she had much else to do tonight. "I have never actually been to Auburn before... So if you would like some company, my night is fairly free." She offered and then she shook her head a bit in protest as he paid for her drink. "You don't have to..." She started to say, but merely accepted it. She gave a small smile, "Thank you." She wanted to give him his money back, but she didn't want to insult him either as if his money wasn't good enough. Sometimes things were simply a doubled edged sword and so she left it be, but, she now felt a bit obligated to accompany him, that is, if he would have her. Her hand was placed on her purse, as if showing him she would be willing to go, but she waited for answer before she would actually move. She didn't want to assume or over step her boundaries with one of the cities Elders.
